1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Stayclopedia (the "Service"), operated by Stayclopedia ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Stayclopedia allows short-term rental hosts and property managers ("Hosts") to create digital guest guidebooks containing property information such as check-in instructions, Wi-Fi details, house rules, local recommendations, and related content ("Guidebook Content"). Hosts may share their guidebook with their guests via a link or QR code.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select) and are processed by a third-party payment provider. By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Free trials, where offered, convert automatically to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless canceled beforehand. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or as otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until then.

5. Host Responsibilities & Guidebook Content

Hosts are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the Guidebook Content they upload, including any access codes, personal contact details, or other sensitive information shared with guests. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, infringing, misleading, or that violates the rights of any third party.

6. Guest Access

Guests who access a shared guidebook link do so under the Host's authority and are not required to create an account. We are not responsible for how Hosts share access to their guidebooks, including the security of shared links or QR codes.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure;
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without our written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers, including payment processors, hosting/database infrastructure, and weather data providers. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the applicable third party's own terms and policies.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, and underlying software, is owned by Stayclopedia and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Hosts retain ownership of the Guidebook Content they create, but grant us a limited license to host, store, and display that content as needed to operate the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any weather, local recommendation, or other informational content will be accurate or current.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stayclopedia will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
