Property and guidebook content

Hosts may enter property details, check-in instructions, Wi-Fi credentials, access codes, house rules, local recommendations, photos, and other content used to build a guidebook. Some of this information (for example, access codes and Wi-Fi passwords) is sensitive, and Hosts are responsible for deciding what to include.

Guest feedback

When a guest submits feedback through a guidebook, we collect the content of that feedback and any contact details the guest chooses to provide.

Payment information

Subscription payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not directly store your full payment card or bank account details — this information is collected and processed by our payment provider under its own privacy policy.

Usage data

We may automatically collect limited technical information, such as browser type, device information, and general usage patterns, to help us maintain and improve the Service.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• To process subscription payments and manage billing;
• To display Guidebook Content to guests as directed by the Host;
• To provide supplementary features such as local weather forecasts (via a third-party weather API), based on the property's general location;

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Service, such as our database/authentication provider (Supabase), payment processors, and hosting infrastructure;
• Guests, to the extent a Host chooses to include information in a shared guidebook;
• Authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and guidebook information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to any retention required by law.

7. International Users

Stayclopedia may be used by Hosts and guests located in different countries, and information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing of your information.
